Here are a list of websites we use often in SkillsLab as well as some extra websites that are educational and fun to use! Please click on the website name to access each link.
ABCYA: ABCYA is a great website that is appropriate for all grade levels! There are games that target language arts skills, math skills, and basic computer skills. Once students are on this website, they click their grade level that they are in and select a game of their choice.
Arcademics: Arcademics has several reading and math games.
Brain Pop Junior: Brain Pop Junior has videos and games on many subjects for K-3 students. The login is:

Cool Math: Cool Math offers a wide variety of math, logic, and puzzle games. This website is a popular choice among our older students (second and third grade)!
Dance Mat Typing: Dance Mat Typing is used in Skills Lab to practice keyboarding skills in second and third grade. As always, make sure to use the correct hand position on the keyboard!
Education City: Education City focuses on language arts, math, and science skills for every grade level. Please log in using this username and password:

First Grade Keyboarding (Birch Grove Primary School): This website has typing games that are great for first graders.
Free Typing Games: Although we use Dance Mat Typing as our main keyboarding program, this is another great website for students to practice their typing skills. Students: Remember to use the correct hand position!
Fun Brain: There are over 100 reading and math games students can choose from.
Grammaropolis: Practice your grammar skills with this interactive website!
Interactive Learning Sites for Education: This webpage is perfect for elementary students and has games in all academic subject areas, as well as special subjects (i.e. music and art).
Junie B. Jones: Play games, listen to story, and complete fun activities, featuring Junie B. Jones!
KidsClick: This search engine is designed just for kids! It allows them to do safe searching on the Internet.
Moby Max: Moby Max focuses on reading, test preparation, and math skills. This helps students learn how to take a computer test. It can be accessed by searching for "Welch Elementary" in the find school box. Click on the Welch Elementary in Ohio and have students put in their username and passwords.
National Geographic Kids: Learn about all different kinds of animals with this website!
PBS Kids: PBS Kids is a favorite for Welch students! Students can play games and/or listen to videos of their favorite characters.
Sheppard Software: This website has several educational games and activities for kids in all different subject areas.
Starfall: This website is great for younger students (Kindergarten and first grade). It focuses on learning to read using phonics.
Treasures Computer Literacy Lessons: Offers a wide variety of lessons on basic computer skills such as using a mouse, using a keyboard, and much more! It is great for all ages.
TumbleBooks: Tumble Books allows students to listen and read their favorite stories for free! Click on the blue button through the Library of Virginia to access it.
Wonderopolis: This website features fun facts and "A Wonder of The Day". Students can watch videos about different topics.
